Wymondham Abbey, Church Street, Wymondham
Social group for parents of newborns (up to 6 weeks of age*) located at the beautiful extension of the Wymondham Abbey.
Whether you are a mum or a dad, you are welcome to attend on your own (with your baby of course!) or come with your partner, family member or a friend. The group is a great place to come and meet other new parents, enjoy a cuppa, ‘practice’ breastfeeding outside of home, get free breastfeeding support, advice about babywearing, newborn care etc. Everyone is welcome!
I volunteer my spare time to provide this service (this group is not associated with the NHS) because I feel passionate about supporting new parents in getting out with their new babies in the early days and helping them create their little community. Many new parents who come to this session continue meeting up after and supporting each other via a WhatsApp group and coffee dates, which later turn into playdates as their babies grow.
I intend to run the group once a month but sometimes this is not possible, i.e. due to work or family commitments. Please always check the website before coming to ensure the group is running.
Pricing
FREE | DONATIONS WELCOME
This group is free but I kindly ask for small donations towards refreshments (please bring cash as I can’t accept card payments). Suggested donation: £1 – £2 per adult, but you can pay more or less, depending on what you can afford. Any leftover money will be donated to the Wymondham Abbey towards the heating and energy costs.
