The Birth Preparation Company is a small business based in Wymondham, Norfolk, owned by an experienced practising midwife and an IBCLC lactation consultant Andrea Evans, who is passionate about gently guiding you during your journey through pregnancy, birth and early days with your new baby.
As well as bringing you modern midwife-led antenatal courses, Andrea also offers caesarean-specific antenatal courses, antenatal breastfeeding workshops, IBCLC breastfeeding support in your own home and a free face-to-face newborn support group.

I offer breastfeeding and postnatal support in your own home anywhere in Norfolk and Suffolk for gentle guidance and advice. I feel passionate about supporting you in achieving your feeding goals in a gentle and calm way.
Join my support group for parents of newborns up to 6 weeks of age located at the beautiful Wymondham Abbey. The group is a great place to meet other new parents and share experiences. Everyone is welcome!

I have created a modern Antenatal Course and by-appointment Caesarean Antenatal Course which offers evidence-based and unbiased information presented in a friendly and non-judgemental way. You will learn a lot about creating the optimal birthing environment, coping mechanisms and pain relief in labour, grasping the necessary skills for both breastfeeding and bottle feeding, and understanding how to care for your new baby in the early days along with what to expect when becoming a new parent.
BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) – this credential is the highest-regarded professional qualification in breastfeeding knowledge and support, recognised all over the world. I am also a member of Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB).
